Nina
I am a mom of 3 kids daughter 12, sons 17 and 18 with a husband busy with his career. I´ll turn 50 in October this year. in 2002 I had a collapse and had to go on antidepressants for a while plus sleeping pills. My older brother and most other relatives died in a very short period, I had been a stay at home mom, low self esteem, trouble sleeping, depressed, gaining weight, feeling old and ugly. But I am a fighter and a Buddhist for 27 years so my daily meditation and strong involvement in supporting others kept me going, but I felt like my body was changing and making me miserable and no doctor could help. I tried diets, tons of exercise but still, I was zapped of energy, my sex drive was gone and I often felt so angry and confused. Luckily, I read Suzanne Somers books and started understanding that I wasn't going insane, I was lacking in vital hormones. I was so fortunate there is one doctor in Stockholm, the only one in Sweden who prescribes BHRT and I went to see him. Since the 1st of May I am on WP Snooz/ Melatonin so no more sleeping pills! Wiley Protocol, Estradiol and Progesterone. I started to feel like young Nina again almost right away, feels like a miracle! I am so grateful. I told my doctor I want to hold support groups for his patients and help many suffering women in Sweden. I am such a happy woman, soon totally hormonally balanced and with a mission. I always told my kids I will live to be a hundred and be healthy (I lost my mother when I was 26 yrs) Now I truly believe I can do that, thanks to the Wiley Protocol.

Just wanted to let you know I have been on the Wiley Protocol for 6 years now and never felt better. I participated in the Nurses Health Study ( I am a retired RN) 15 years ago at the age of 36. Both blood and urine studies were done. Now, 15 years later, they have asked me to participate again with blood and urine samples. Questions were asked specifically about hormones and I proudly listed Wiley (estrogen, progesterone and testosterone). Hopefully the results will get Wiley and HRT good news.

Thanks for listening,
Jennifer G

I just had my first gyn appointment since being on the Wiley Protocol. The last time I went to her (several years ago), I had an irregular heartbeat (she checks more than just the Pap, etc), and Dr. Chen had also noted the irregular heart beat several times, but it seems it's now gone. She listened three times to be positive, but she says it's no longer there. She also found my thyroid "perfect", my lungs clear, etc, and during my pelvic exam, she said I was pink, moist, and she highly doubted anything will come back negative on the pap or std labs. She said in fact, that I appeared "radiant" and perfectly healthy. Ah, lovely music to my ears. I had taken a couple of newsletters with me and my WP, but she didn't want to see it, said she knew all about it. Said it was fine if I liked it and certainly I seemed to be glowing, but she personally would not recommend it because she felt it was "unnecessarily complicated" - I didn't say anything back, but I'm sure she meant the cycling of the hormones, but it makes sense to me - your body cycles them, why wouldn't you want to match that as closely as one can when replacing them... but at least she didn't give me any argument about it (not that it would have mattered) and admitted that I seemed really healthy. I forgot to ask her if she did ultrasound in her office - that was one of the things Dr. Chen wanted me to do, but I forgot about it - even if I could have afforded it, which I cannot right now. My gyn said she wouldn't need to see me for a year... Oh, since my height was still exactly 5'2" and my spine straight, she also said, that though it wasn't a bone density test, she felt my bones were probably all right as well. That's not scientific, but she said she could see no curvature. Well, at some point I will get another bone density test. When I began the WP, I had just begun to show the first, very marginal signs on an ankle test of moving out of the green into borderline territory, but just...

I feel it's significant that the irregular heartbeat appeared during menopause and appears to be gone now. Anyway, made my day : ) Tells me WP works - but then I knew that! : )

I've been a protocol user for over three years this month. I have no menopause effects, I feel no different than I did over two decades ago, and at age 51 everyone thinks I look maybe 33. I still get carded for alcohol, and I credit keeping good hormone levels as one of the main things I do for good health. I can do gym workouts that are more intense than what I was doing in the 1980's, and my libido just rocks. I started my hormones at age 38 with progesterone only with internet information along with DHEA & melatonin, and I am so glad I did. Sure, I could not find an MD to assist me for many years, and I believe it's really wrong we end up on our own like this, and somehow paying attention to my symptoms I got it right just the same.

I am most thankful back in 2007 I found Wiley's book on Amazon.com because the typical, static dose of BHRT measured via a small spoon was not doing much for me, although I had only been in menopause about two months....it was the pits.

I've been on Wiley Protocol for almost two years now and have never felt better! I just bought Ms. Wiley's book 'Lights Out' and am excited to read it and putting into practice.
